One of the more dynamic aspects of my service is that I can be Your host and MC on the night. You can decide how much of an interaction You would like me to have with Your audience and vice-versa. One common request I receive from the bride and groom is to welcome them to the dance floor if they have chosen a first dance. This is a specialty that I am fond of and able to do if You would like me to. I can also welcome on other couples and guests to initiate the dancing after the first dance.

To all wedding receptions I will carry a wireless microphone, 3x disco lights for the ultimate dance floor experience and any custom playlists you may wish to send me in advance. These songs can be submitted and refined up to the week of your wedding.

Overseas wedding in NZ: In 2016 I performed at both an Arabic and Indian wedding and have some working knowledge of this music. I am catering to any traditions from home You may wish to incorporate on Your New Zealand wedding day and I can work with You on providing music for these (eg. ring warming). One common request I receive is to play one English song, one other, and vice-versa. You are welcome to forward me a CD or USB drive containing any music You want me to play that is non-English.

How long You would like me for and whether I will take requests from Your guests is up to You! Typical DJ reception bookings are for up to 5 hours in length and include a one hour prior setup as standard. The prior setup can be arranged anytime after 11am on the same calendar day. If your venue’s location is outside my regular travel boundaries (I will notify You) I might add a small cost for the extra mileage or if the setup is required before 11am on the same calendar day.

For music requests I am happy to facilitate requests from Your guests on the night providing 1. the requested song is guaranteed mainstream/one that is heard of and 2. I deem is appropriate. I will never play a song that goes against any of these 2 rules unless it has been checked with You. Most clients prefer to have me play to the night which means I will play music that will work (reading the crowd) so that You can focus on Your own enjoyment on the night!
